The coffee Roasters on our doorstep... - Pot Duggans

The coffee Roasters on our doorstep…

With National coffee day approaching, we thought it only right to delve into what our delicious coffee suppliers Anam Coffee  are all about…

Roasted not too far from Pot Duggans, between Kilfenora & Carron, Anam coffee aims to focus on the individuality of each batch, roasting everything by hand..

Owner Brian lives in The Burren and  trained at the London School of Coffee and having undertaken sensory evaluation has the ability to blind taste and correctly identify flavour and aroma.

The ethos of Anam Coffee, as described on anamcoffee.ie is that of quality and their coffee can always be traced back to their source.

We’re huge fans of the work of Anam and are their Ilamatepec blend served in Pot Duggans. It offers a bold flavour with hints of roasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, completed with a light fruity taste.

Our Chef Hilary says that ‘We chose Anam because we wanted to source as many local producers as possible. Brian is super talented at what he does and is a local guy with an abundance of knowledge about the area and other local suppliers. His blends are amazing and the blend we use is his most popular which sits a wide variety of tastes’

We’re fairly lucky to have Anam roasted so near to us, and a nice little bonus is Ennistymon’s initiative #loveyourcup which is going really well in the town at the moment, all businesses in the area offer reusable cups for sale and a discount on coffee used…

Anam Coffee is served in Pot Duggans daily, make sure you pop in for a cup on National Coffee day, Sunday October 1st…
